Guy's,
I have a 2004 Impala with 155K in mileage. The car runs very good but I have noticed on two different times that the floor board on the passager side only will sometimes become so wet that the water will drip from the floor mat when I take it out of the car. My heat works fine, and I have smelled the liquid which seems to be just water, no color or odorto speak of. It did it one time only in the front floor board and hasn't done it since. That said, I woke yesterday to my back floor board soaked with water but again only on the passager side and this time only in the back and not the front at all. I have looked under the car on both side but can't find anything that looks out of place. Any idea why this is happening?

Hello,

This could be due to the A/C evaporator drain clogged and draining inside the cabin.
On the evaporator housing there is a channel that allows all the moisture that accumulates on the evaporator to drain out of the vehicle by exiting through a drain hose on the lower part of the firewall.
Dirt and debris can block that drain and that will cause the moisture to buildup on the drain and overflow inside the passenger compartment.

I have attached pictures for your reference.

Please let me know what you find.
Thank you.
