When it rains out the floor on the passenger side gets flooded. Checked door jam and looked under dash, the rug was damp there but not soaked. Please what should i check next i thought heater core.

If it only happens when it rains, it isn't the heater core. Have a helper spray the windshield and around the doors while you sit inside and watch for leaks.

The sweet smell reminds me of coolant, but that wouldn't only happen when it rains.
