I was told my car has struts and they need to be
replaced. Only my back tires make a "roaring" noise when I am driving. The back of the car shakes a little sometimes when I stop. I don't hear the noise as loud on the highway as I do on city streets. I tried looking on the GM site but couldn't really find any infomation on this. And. another person told me I have both shocks and struts which I do not believe.
Any suggesions.

that type of noise is usually a bad wheel bearing or possible tires. rub your hands on the tires and see if they feel really rough one direction and smooth the other way. other wise you have to jack up the front and see if there is a wheel bearing loose
