2007 Chevy Cobalt thud in front over bumps

07 cobalt 31k thud in front over bumps struts seem fine no bouce or leaks ball joints, tie rods, sway bar, cv's all fine only 31k dealership drove and his opion is suspension(warrenty just ended)i've seen this before my best guess is the front trany/engine mount. Need a third opion anyone?

Hi,

did you check both stabilizer link (sway bar link )? It is common to all GM model using stabilizer link to be worn out. Try pulling the sway bar close to the link up and down. And if you feel any looseness on the link. Just replace it and your problem is solve.

And there is also a common problem on this model. The steering coupler and the steering column. If you hear noise on the front end(driver side) usually on rough road, most open than not is these 2 things which I mention above. Now to make sure which is the one. Remove the 30 amps fuse of the ECS(electronic control steering) and drive it on the vacant rough road. While driving, turn the steering slightly left turn or right turn. If you can still hear the noise it is the steering coupler and if you don't hear anything. That's the steering column assy.
