I have 2001 Chevy Cavalier 67,000 miles I was driving when I smelled something like burnt plastic then there was smoke coming out from behind steering wheel for a minute then it stopped but it still smelled a little. Any suggestions what that might be or how to fix the problem?

I would check the plug where the heater fan plugs in and also cig lighter, Good hot spots
