1999 Chevy Cavalier engine swap

I have a 99 cavalier with a bad engine knock, needs to be changed, can i pull the engine out of the top or does it have to come out the bottom

The easiest way (for me) is out the bottom. That is how they are installed at factory.

I have seen some engines taken out the top, but you run a HUGE risk of paint, body damage.
