OK, this is the deal. I had to install the new mounts to my cavalier due to the engine rocking, it caused my exhaust to snap at the base of the flex pipe. Anyways over the weekend, I had atempted to replace the top side mount insert, no problem. But when I asked a friend to give me a hand in getting the bolts set into the mounting bracket on the block he had tore the threads up real bad. We had struggled to clean the threads up and get it back together, but we got them clean and porceeded to put it back together. All of the sudden the bolts had stopped about 85% of the way down and were not going to go down any further. No problem we got some washer for the time being, cleared up the engine rocking everything seems fine. Then on my way to work today as soon as I pulled out of the driveway, when I cut the wheel it started to vibrate, which it has never done before. I thought oh well, probably just a fluck thing or whatever. Well as I got to work and slowed down and went to turn it was doing it again, but worse. And to be honest with you it almost acts like it has something to do with my rack possiblly. So long story short, I need to know if the motor mount set up could have had something to do with it, and where can I find a new mounting bracket for the block and does it really need to be replaced? Thanks in advance this is just really starting to bug me out.

Does it do it only while turning?
Sounds like a drive axle.
Jack the car up and spin the wheels individually (trans in neutral) while turning the steering left and right.
Listen closely for clicking and feel for roughness as it turns.
While you're at it, check the axle boots.
Could have damaged a cv joint when engine shifted if it dropped down far enough to hit the axle while doing motor mount.
If the engine is stable and the bolts stay tight, I wouldn't worry about replacing the bracket.
