Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have borrowed a car from a friend. It had sat for a while before I started driving it. It drove very rough. Hesitating up hills and low acceleration. I drove the car to work tried to start it at lunch. It won't start. It tries to start but definatley won't. Thought it was the coil packs and changed the whole assembly. There is fuel to the rail not sure if it is sufficent. I don't have access to a computer so I don't know if it is throwing codes. I am going to try to change the crank sensor and ignition sensor just to see if that changes anything. Oh and I am getting spark. Any suggestions?

You're getting fuel, now you need to check if the fuel pump is producing the correct fuel pressure and the injectors are pulsing.

Fuel pump may not be hitting the lbs. You need. And it would crawl only get to about 20mph and would really only run smooth at idle. I had this happen before with my luminaz34. Crawled to work and then it wouldn't start. Turned out to be a half dead fuel pump

I had the fuel pump changed. Cranking is a little better stiill won't start. If I hold my foot on the throttle it chugs like it want to start just won't. I did get a tps code. Could the tps stop it from starting?

Do you have spark and also did you check the fuel pressure after the fuel pump replacement and also check if the injectors are pulsing providing fuel into the cylinders. If not check it
