Our 97 Cavalier ran out of gas. We put about 1/4 tank of gas in and tried to start, now it won't start. Acts like it wants to but just won't. Have no way to test fuel pressure and all that or get it to a mechanic, how can I fix this?

Started up, drove not even a mile, died. Thought it ran out of gas, put gas in it, and just grinds it won't start up. Tried lots of times to start it.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge maybe the fuel pump when south-burned-out
