Ive been having horrible clunking sounds from the front of my car for a while I just recently had the brakes rotors struts and tires all changed and got it aligned. Today as I was reversing out of a parking spot the clunk was super loud and when I started to make a slow right turn it started clanking super loud and steering was very stiff. They told me the CV axle is bad can you help me change it out?

Hello,

There are couple of different ways for a CV axle to go bad. One is the boot will tear allowing grease to leak out. Which will make the joint dry and will make noise. The other way is for the CV axle to simply brake off, in this the car will stop moving.

Replacing a CV axle requires several steps to complete.
With the right tools it can be done in one to two hours.

Here is a article that you might find helpful:

Thank you.
