Steering problem
1991 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130 T miles

I need to replace the Multifunction light switch, it seems to be a very easy part but the problem is I can't seem to get the casing off the steering column. I can see it seperates into top and bottom. What is the trick to get it off. This has become my white whale!

According to my software you will need to remove the steering wheel to get to 2 of the screws that hold the cover on.If you look up from the bottom into the small holes you will see screws that hold the 2 pieces together, but there are 2 that go in from the front as well.
