Hello well the first thing is is to check to see how long its been since a tune up was done and this sounds like a pick up in the distributor is going bad once it gets hot it won't start until it cools down and will stall and act like it wants to shut off. I hope this will help you out.

2000 chevy s-10 blazer will crank but not start. Put fuel in carb and starts right up as soon as the gas runs out it shuts off. The fuel pump was replaced as well as the filter. Gauge pressure reader reads 65 when key is on but drops when key is off. Could it be the fuel pressure regulator?

Could be or a stuck injector. Either way the upper plenum will probably have to come off the intake to look at the reg. Will be obvious if it is leaking. This sounds like a fuel pump or the crankshaft angle sensor has gone out. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

I bought the vehicle and drove it home. Started at least six times the day I got it. Three days later, I try to start it and it turns over fine but does not start. I am going through basic stuff looking around engine. See nothing out of place. I get carburetor cleaner, it will start and runs good until cleaner is burned off. I press the valve for the fuel pressure and it gives a squirt. I go re prime, cannot hear the pump due to the dinging from the dash (waiting on fiancee to get here right now). Prime and I get squirts from the test valve so fuel is getting there. This is the model where I believe the injectors are in the air manifold? So I cannot easily reach them to test with an ohm meter. I do have some tools but not an auto mechanic. Any tips on what I should check or look for? Full time college student so I cannot afford to go nickle and dime myself at this point. Just need it to run, lol. Like everyone does who has a car.

First thing to do is check the fuel injector fuse. That would be the ECM1 fuse in the underhood fuse box.
If the check engine light is remaining on, have the trouble codes read.
If the security or theft light is remaining on or flashing, try a spare key or clean off that key where the pellet is and try again. If the security or theft light remains on or flashing, you may have to have the trouble codes read, too for it to see what is causing the security issue.
