Engine Performance problem
1995 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120.00 miles

can any one help I am my wits end a bought a 1995 s-1o blazer I was told it only needed a egr valve after buying it realized he broke the bolt hole thats holds egr, so replaced intake all new gaskets. Done right. Wrong poured black smoke, tour it back down replaced fuel regerular, great black smoke stopped. Now you start it will idle proplerly after a minute or so give it gas takes another minute or so refore it idles properly again does not seem to mis on idle seems to stumble on the way back down to idle. Toke it for a small drive has no power on hills also no check engine light on. Heres a list of what has replaced intake, gaskets. Egr. Fuel pump. Fuel tank. Gas lines and rear hoses, spark plugs, map sensor. Any guesses I am stumped thanks peter

Did you reset the timing properly? There is a 1 wire connector that has to be unplugged to take the comp out of the loop to set base timing

No I did not did not relize there was a wire to disconect can you explane how to do it

Depends on the 8th digit of th evin#. If it is Z and the computer is behind th edash on pass side, the connector is where the carpet meets th ehvac plenum, single wire tan/black. If the PCm is in th eengine compartment, the same color wires/connector breaks out of the wiring harness near the computer harness connectors. Either one, warm engine up, unhook connector, set base timing according to spec 0 degrees. Shut off engine plug back in and test drive

I dont knoe maybee I am getting stupid in my old age picked up new timing light(old one went missing) tore truck apart can not find tan wire not under heater hoses, computer, air unit, sorry but here we go again thanks
