I recently had to replace the fuel tank in my blazer. When doing so when I removed the fuel pump as I was re-installing it I broke off one of the nipples on the top of the pump. Will this effect if my car would start or not if I pushed the hose back onto the nipple?

Is the nipple still long enough for the hose to push on? Is it an evap hose? It might set trouble codes? I believe it will start and run ok.

I didn't see the first post. If it is going to leak gas, I wouldn't risk it.
