The last 3 mornings when I go start the van, it shakes, rattles, stumbles and moans before it will turn over. It acts like a compression problem and the check engine light has been on too. Once it starts it runs fine all day long with continual stops and restarts. I had the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced 8000 miles ago. Any thoughts? Thanks

Sounds like it may have a blown fuel pressure regulator. Need to hook a manual pressure gauge on the engine and see if it bleeds down when the key is turned off, and if the fuel pressure jumps up when the engine is running and revved. Does it use any fluids without any leaks?
