Hard starting

I have a 1999 Astro Van AWD 4.3 motor. 113,000 miles on it. Lately on cold start ups it's hard to start. After cranking the motor a couple of times, it almost starts, stalls, goes through that a couple of times and starts. As soon as the accelerator is pressed it starts to stall. After it warms up a little it idles fine. It has sat for a couple of months with little use. The exhaust seems to smell rich. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have your fuel pressure tested for proper specs. Sounds like the there is restrictions in the fuel system.

Its hard two pin-point exactly were the problem is because when its fuel related it can be a number of things but the pressure test is a start. This will confirm if it is a fuel issue.

Keep me posted, Im sure will get it together.
