I tested the starter and solenoid. They appear to be fine, new battery. When I go to start vehicle there is nothing from the starter or even the slightest attempt at any cranking. I have power to all accessories. I tried adjusting the neutral/ safety switch as per the haynes manual and it did not work. Could this be a faulty neutral safety switch problem

thanks in advance!

No crank at all/nothing/nada:

Could be the starter, starter relay, park and neutral switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.

NO crank at all. Lots of juice to lights and accessories.
The haynes manual doesn't list a starter relay. Where is that located if you know?

Thanks again for your time

That's part of the checklist-Did you check and test the P/N switch if so-last place is the ignition switch- defective start circuit on it batttery/cables/connections are all okay

Sorry to be a bother. By Starter Relay do you mean the SOLENOID? If so it tested okay. I

f NOT where would the starter realy be located. I saw it on your checklist but it is NOT shown in the HAYNES manual

would be nice if it was the relay. Changing the ignition switch looks like a bit of work!

Thanks again

The solenoid is just like a relay on the starter-have a helper hold key in the cranking position and check for power on the starter small purple wire-nothing there and P/N switch okay-replace the ignition switch, this is where we stop
