Just wondering on a scale of 1 to 10. How hard is it to change the rear exhaust manifold and converter? Is it something I could do without remove the whole engine?

Hello,

Replacing the exhaust manifold and converter can be done without removing the engine.
However, you will have to raise the vehicle and support with jack stands and remove the manifold from the bottom of the car.
Sometimes the biggest issue on removing the exhaust manifold is rusted/seized bolts, due to heat. You will have to use penetrating oil on the bolts in order to remove them.

On a scale it is probably a 5/6 in difficulty.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Thank you.
