Car is overheating replace thermostat and cooling reservoir. Fan is very loud

Have you checked the coolant level? If not this video will give you an idea how to do it without getting hurt. https://youtu.be/GSE9skKnOgY

If the coolant level is okay it sounds like you may have an obstruction like a plastic bag in front of the radiator or a blown head gasket. Check out this guide before that show you what to look for when finding out the problem. Any coolant leaks? Also, does the system have pressure when warm?
