how do i remove the ignition i replaced the steering colomn and it has the passkey could i put the old ignition back in or what all do i have to put in that would work for the car to start

If you have the key from the original column, you could have it interrogated at a dealer to determine it's VATS value. Then you just need to have a key cut the same as the replacement column, but in the VATS pellet value as the original.
