Charging system
Cadillac Eldorado 1998 81,000 miles 4.3 literV8
computer message--Battery Not Charging
Then computer message 13.8volts and then voltage going down in computer until message says Battery not Charging. Car will not start - first time this happened no warning.

Most newer car need the alternator and battery replaced together. If you do the alt and the Batt is weak, the new alt "Dies"!
