1995 Cadillac EL Dorado trunk lid pull down motor

Most often it is the switch, pull back the liner and disconnect the switch(it is part of the pull down actuator), look for corrosion on the terminals. Usually a water leak, or condensation in the trunk causes the corrosion, and it gets into the switch as well. With it connected, hold the switch paddle down, also hold the ajar switch in the up position(it is on the latch/lid), and tap on the pull down unit anywhere. It may come back to working and work for a short time. I would replace the switch.
