1995 Cadillac EL Dorado intake manifold

I have a caddy eldorado with a 4.8L engine in it. I have been told its not the correct engine. Can anyone tell me if this engine will work? Also the intake manifold number is 3531720. The engine says 4.8L and has L37 on it. PLEASE HELP

Does it have an engine cover that says northstar?
There could only be a 4.6L northstar, or a 4.9L engine in this vehicle. To retrofit another engine in a front wheel drive(transverse) setup would be somewhat difficult, next to impossible, and almost certainly evident. What is the 8th vin digit, if it is 9 or Y it is a northstar(4.6L) car. If the digit is B, it is a 4.9L.
