Cadillac gas mileage

I have a 2000 cadillac deville 4.6L Northstar with 105,000 miles. My previous cadillac, a 1998 same engine got 29 mpg on the hwy, my 2000 gets no better than 22. Also several of the switches on the doors and steering wheel are no longer lighted, how do I replace the bulbs?

100k is tune up time, the switches need replacing for the lights, no bulbs, the engine may say the same, but it is really different
