How do you line up the timing marks on the overhead camshafts? And is the number 1 cylinder the front left piston if u r facing the front of the car?

The #1 cylinder is on the front of the rear bank, the one with the black cam cover. The timing marks on the sprockets are set up at right angles to the cylinder head surface(cam cover sealing surface). All of the sprockets are interchangeable except the one that has the cam sensor reluctor which I believe is RH exhaust. The corresponding marks are what you line up, according to cam position(i.E. RH in/RH ex, LH in/LH ex). If you replaced head gaskets, did you install thread inserts in the head bolt holes? Have you torqued the head bolts yet?
