Engine shuts off while slowing down to a stop

I have had this problem for a while, I will be driving down the road, and when I put on my brakes, a lot of the times right before I stop it will shut off, but I can crank it right up and keep going until it does it again. Please help.

Did you ever figure this out? My 92 Cadi does the same thing. More common in the heat 100+, with the A/C on. Just quits, no warning, no sputter. Also I have a howling sound. Did you notice any noises? Anything may help. Thanks
