Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 142k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My v8 4.5 cadillac engine is running on seven cylinders. Number 1 cylinder does not fire, I have checked the spark plugs, they are good, wires good, distributor cap is good, cylinder compression is 180psi, which is good. Can you tell me what else it may be?

Thank you.

If you are sure your compression is accurate and you truly have 180psi and your spark plug, both plug and wire are good, and have a bright blue spark, than it can only be one of teo possiblities which are: Falty injector and/or a brake in the injector wire, or your rocker arm had detached itself from the push rods, leaving the valves inoperable. Good luck!
