I may have air in the gas tank. The fuel handle keeps shutting off. I have tried to pull the nozzle out a bit but doesn't help. Takes a long time to fuel

There is a breather that runs from the tank to the filler tube. Check to make sure the it isn't damaged, bent, plugged. If it can't release the air as the tank fills, it will keep shuting the pump off because the fuel fills the filler tube and backfeeds into the pump nozzel.
