2 part question

Does my 2001 Buick Regal have a fuel filter?

A month ago it showed an EVAP Emissions code {& the local Auto Parts store employee could not tell me what that meant specifically} in the last week it has started to intermittently hesitate. Would replacing the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve be a solution?

Thank you,
Will

Unfortunately I was not with my daughter when she had Autozone read the code. I will attempt to get it read again.

In the owners manual there is no mention of a fuel filter, so of course there's no timeframe to have it changed. With 60,000 miles on the car would you think the fuel filter could be the culprit?

The hesitation seems to be constant if I really try to accelerate hard, the card starts to misfire. If I accelerate more slowly it seems to move along fine & I am able to get to highway speed 60-70 mph.

So far I have change the airfilter which was hardly dirty & I removed & cleaned the EGR valve again this was not really fouled. I also put in a can of Seafoam injector cleaner & filled it with premium.

I would check the fuel pressure before and then after the filter replacement regardless of the code.
