How can I best determine if there is water in the oil because of a cracked block or a head gasket. My grandson was driving and apparently the light that warns of overheating was not working. The car got hot, now there is water in the oil. Oh, about 2 weeks before that my son-in-law did have to change the water pump. I know this might be general questions, but what is my next step. I love the car, but don't know if I can pay for a new engine, I just bought the car a couple of months ago.
