Smells problem
1997 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Automatic 113000 miles

I noticed a gas smell from under the hood and found that gas is leaking from the fuel line connector down the back of my engine. I want to know how do I replace the connector with a new one? I went to NAPA part store and I see that they sell the connector alone for $7.00 so I figure I can replace it instead of the whole fuel line.

If you think you can cut the old fitting off and "securely" put the new one on, go for it. BUT, keep in mind, you have 40 psi fuel pressure in the feed line. If the new fitting fails, it could pump a lot of fuel before you caught it.
