1993 Buick Century, 65K miles, 3.3L V6 automatic. Repeated failure of mass airflow sensor. First failed in 2003; again in 2005, 2006. Recently failed again but at least this time it was still under warranty. New catalytic converter in 2006. Since even remanufactured it's well over $300 a pop, I'm hoping you can help me. Am I doing something wrong to cause this failure? Someone mentioned it's a common problem in the 3.3L V6 especially involving aftermarket air filters (?). What do you suggest -- should I consider changing the air intake? Or maybe just hang around junkyards pulling MAF sensors? Thanks.

Main reason for a mass air flow sensor failure other than defective
and poor made
engine misfire
dirt getting in throw the air filter
