Head lights go off when high beams are activated?

The headlights go off when the high beams are activated. The only way to keep the headlights and the high beams on is to hold the switch. If you let the multi function switch go, you lose all lights on the vehicle. We have replaced the multi function switch, but it has not corrected the problem. Do you think it could be the headlight relay switch. Thank you, looking forward to hearing for you. Sincerely ALex.

It sounds like there is a bad ground which is located below the dash on the left side of the steering column I would check that first, here is a headlight wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works this guide can help you test the ground.
