2004 BMW Z4 my convertible top!!

2004 BMW Z4 6 cyl Automatic

my convertible tops... lock button... the one that hold it down when i put the top down and it makes a click to make sure its in place.. well that clicker part that holds it down broke and i need to replace it! it looks like an easy fix but im not sure how to do it or where to get the part. could someone help me?

I have the same problem. Did you check the owner's guide and then pull the cord in the boot? Did that cord break, or did it release the latch?

If you have not yet solved the problem, let me know and I'll fill you in on my repair method.
