2003 BMW Z4 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 66000 miles
Would you know where the outside temperature sensor is located, I have a replacement but I can not find out where it goes. As a result of the computer reading -40.0 the heated wing mirrors are on all the time.

It is in the front bumper down in the air stream. If the old one is bad it could be the wiring has been violated and it will need to have the fault cleared after the installation/repair for the outside temperature indicator to be functional again.
