2003 BMW 530 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual
I have a e39 5 series. I reccently got an oil change from a mechanic, but my "service engine soon" light is still it. Is it cause i need to reset the service light? I read somewhere that there is a tool that is required as well. I also read somewhere else that 2003 E39 don't need any tool and can manually reset it from the odometer. Thanks

There is a procedure for resetting the service interval at the dashboard. Get in, close the door, push the left button in the cluster and then turn the key to the on position, when the display changes, let go of the button and then immediately press it again, when the display is flashing, release the button and press it again. the resetting is now done
