Battery light will not go off stays on all the time. Alternator checks out good. I was told it has an external diode, but cannot figure out where it is located. Can you help?

What is the battery voltage when the engine is running? It sounds like the alternator is bad but to be sure lets test it by following these videos and guides.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

No external diode in the system I can see. The charge indicator circuit feeds back system voltage to turn off the light. Check the fuses and the fusible links.
