Is bank one o2 sensor the front sensor? And is it called uptake or down flow or something else? I have to order the part and it is giving me an option of 3 wire or 4 wire? Which do I want for bank one? I'm buying it then getting it put on. I'm a woman, as you can probably tell! Lol

There are upstream and downsteam O2 sensors. Bank one is the side where number 1 cylinder is located.

What motor do you have in the car?

It hasn't been removed so I don't know if it's the 3 wire or four wire sensor. How do I know if it's the upstream or downstream. The diagnostic said only bank one?

What was the code? That will tell me what sensor and it may not even be the sensor. It may be something else
codes never identify bad parts just failed systems

Hi Mike

you can get some cleaner at a parts store but in most cases, it does not work.

Thats what I figured. You need a scan tool to monitor the voltage of the sensor to check it.
