New alternator and battery installation

If I do an alternator replacement can I install a new battery as well and since you need to disconnect the negative terminal before doing the replacement. I want to install a new battery as well and alternator. I’ve the vehicle listed above 2wd.

Hi,

You certainly can replace the battery, but if the old one is good, you really shouldn't need to. If you are questioning the battery, remove it and take it to the parts store and have them charge it and then load test it to see if it is still good.
