Had the brakes on my 96 civic looked at today. Don't need them immediately, but soon. The rears are 90% done and the fronts 75%. Doesn't seem like I need drum or rotor work. The prices I was given were around $150 for the rears and $190 for the fronts. Is this reasonable?

Sounds very high. Honda rear brakes almost never wear out. If you don't need the rotors turned the front brakes can be purchased for about $30.00 and it takes about 30 minutes per wheel to install. The rears take a little more time, about an hour for each side on the outside. The trick is getting the drum off. They should cost about $25.00

I wish I could do brakes at those costs you will be getting hosed. Good luck
