1993 Caravan stalling

My caravan will go through spells when it won't idle very well and then it stalls, check engine light comes on at this time. It will strat back up, check engine light goes out, and run rough for awhile and I will have to repeat this process a few times before it will run ok. Right now it seems to be at lower speeds and when I step on the gas it won't do anything right away, but then it will jerk forward. This problem has just started to occur, but seems to be getting worse. What do I need to replace to fix this problem?

Is the van fuel injected or carbuerated?

2 things could be wrong the most likley is the idle air controler. Then maybe the Mass air folw sensor. This answer is predicated on the assumption you have a good tune-up, clean throttle body and good air and fuel filters.
