Okay, so I hit a median last night and now my transmission is slipping. It will eventually engage, but then it slips out of gear. When I hit the median, I know the bottom of the car was scraped on the concrete, could that be the issue? I don't know where the transmission lives, so I don't know whether or not it could've been damaged. Any suggestions?

Check the fluid first, if its low fill it and look on the underside for leaks, it sounds like you may have damaged the transpan or pushed the axle in the unit and split and output shaft seal,
check for leaks and let us know

Okay, so I took it in to a transmission place because I was panicking and you're right! It's not leaking, but the pan is extremely dented and the mechanic said that it had probably damaged the filter which was making it act like it was low on fluid. So thanks so much!

Thats good news, if the pan was smashed against the filter it would not pick up enough fluid, glad to hear it wasnt worse
