The air conditioning will run cool one cycle but when the compressor kicks off it won't kick back on.

Hi,

When this happens, I need you to check to see if the compressor clutch is getting power. If it is, suspect a problem with the clutch coil. If there is no power, then we need to check the clutch relay in the under-hood fuse box.

I'm not sure if you have automatic climate control or manual control, but I looked at both schematics and the relay remain the same. See pics 1 and 2 below.

As far as the relay, if there is a different one in the box having the same part number, switch them and see if that changes anything. Also, if possible, we need to check AC high and low pressures. If after it runs the pressure is getting too high, it won't restart. Actually, when it stops running it may not be a cycle but rather the high-pressure switch turning it off.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Pic 3 shows the clutch relay I mentioned.

When the car is cold like when I first started it the A/C comes on and is cool as long as I do not turn the fan level past low speed, and it only works pretty much just until the motor of the car gets warm (goes one cycle blowing cold air thru the driver side vents but blows at the same time warmer air thru the passenger side vents then the compressor doesn't kick back on).
