ABS light is on after new front pressed bearings installed, code for ABS is c1234. Also, I had a rear drum replaced because of bad bearing and that code is c1236. Brake light goes out when shut car off, but soon as you drive a block or less it will illuminate.

You have a problem with the right front and left rear speed sensors. Something in the sensor may have gotten damaged or the tone ring is out of position for some reason. The issue is definitely related to the work done.

Are you positive on this and how do you fix it? Also, would you know how to disconnect the ABS sensor from the harness to put new one in? But how would I fix the back also?

I am positive the speed sensors are no longer reading on those two wheels. Someone else has to determine the actual cause. Do not assume it is the sensor itself unless you actually, physically broke it.

But you think it is the sensors so why should I not assume that it is the sensors? Also, have you heard of a P1000 code?

When did I say I think it is sensors. You have an issue with the sensor circuit that may or may not be caused by the sensor itself.
It could be a problem with the tone ring or the wiring. It is highly unlikely two sensors failed at the same time unless you simply broke them.

The P1000 code simple means you recently cleared the codes.

Well the mechanic put in the bearings In front and and came on and after he put new drum and bearing in rear the brake light came on as soon as I start driving. Should I be concerned about these as in will it affect driving? What would I need to do to fix? How much you think it would cost? I do not even know where to get a tone ring? I am not sure if new rear drum had a new abs ring on it because I do not think he transferred the ring.

Well, if the new drum did not have a ring, you just solved one of your problems.

I do not even know why you are trying to deal with this. This problem belongs to the mechanic that did the job. He is the one that caused it.

The only issue with driving it is the ABS system has been disabled so you just have regular brakes.

And the rear brake light could be from the drum possibly if it do not have that ABS ring on it? They did not fail at same time one was done a few weeks later.

There is no more information I can give you at this time. The system needs to be inspected to determine what was damaged or left off when the repairs were made.

All you have to do is follow the wire into the back of the wheel.

Where is the tone ring located? I bought a new cv axel and on the box it shows the new tone ring but on the part I cannot see one, I am having trouble locating a axel with a tone ring or is it all a sealed unit? Is it internal?

I can't find any pictures on this one. It's either going to be on the C?V joint or part of the hub bearing. If you remove the sensor, just look inside the hole for the teeth.

If the car is available with or without ABS then the axle would also be available with and without the tone ring if that is actually where it goes.
