I have a code that says it's my torque converter on my car. My car shuts off quickly once you place it in reverse but in drive it'll go for a second just fine, but then I have to press on the gas real hard to keep it from shutting off and even then it still will shut off sometime once it gets warmed up it does as well.

Hello and thank you visiting 2CarPros!

If its not too much trouble, could please reply with the specific code that you are getting when this happens?

It will help us narrow down the problem.

Regards
Jon

Does the car buck like horse when this happens, almost as if you popped the clutch on a manual transmission? Or does it simply just stall out?
