My dash is saying drive but shifter in park can hear clicking noise from shifter area. Had problems with starting before I installed a push button and started fine until dash was reading wrong gear. Not sure if it would be a relay, transmission control unit or ignition switch. Any help would be nice, possible ways to bypass tcu? Thanks.

The clicking should only happen ever time you step on the brake pedal. Yes?

The device that detects "which gear you are in" is mounted to the transmission (called the "Multi-function Transmission Range Switch".
