I have a Vauxhall Corsa d 58 plate 3dr 1.3cdti club.

Essentially the issue I have is that when I'm in any gear (except first) it will not rev anything above 2,000. This is an issue mainly on dual carriageway and motorways as it takes an age to get to 60 let alone 70.

When I hit 2,000 revs it feels like I've hit the limiter and the car jerks until I change gear. It is nowhere near the red line and really lacks power.

I would appreciate assistance on this as I can't afford to take it to a garage and I'm not 100% mechanically minded.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Three things come to mind first are the fuel filters new? Do we have a clogged exhaust system or is the turbo going out. I would remove the inlet or exhaust side of the turbo to check the endplay of the main shaft.

Here are three guides to help us see what's going on. Also do you have a check engine light on?

Please run down these guides and report back.
