Toyota Camry Hybrid Noise Problem
I just recently purchased a new 2012 camery hybrid. I soon noticed a metalic squeaking noise when breaking. If I have to brake quickly and suddenly is when it seems to occur. The problem does not happen very often just ocassionally. I took the car to the dealership, they checked the breaks out said everthing was fine, and they did not hear any noise. Since the weather has gotten colder, and with some snow, ice and salt on the roads it seems to have gotten worse.. I still have the metalic squeak noise when breaking suddenly, but what I have now noticed when backing up in reverse it really sounds squeaky.Just wondering if you have any idea. Looks like I will be back to the dealership to make them figure this out. This is my first toyota. this has been very disheartening.

It could be something caught in between the brake pads. It could also be the backing plates are too near the rotor due to installation fault. What we can offer is only what we think could be the cause. Somebody need to have a look at it to locate the source of the noise.
