Stupidity
Drove 2010 Mazda 5 with the e-brake on until it started smoking, about 4 blocks. How do I know if it is OKor if it is toast.

it really needs to be physically checked. but if it still works ok then it may just need adjustment.

You need to take it somewhere and have the rear brakes and componets inspected to be on the safe side unless you have expernice do that.
