Heater blower motor speed?

The blower does not work on settings 1and 2.

Hi,

The most common cause of this problem is a bad blower motor resister. If it still works on high speed, this is the first thing I suspect.

Here are the directions for replacement. The attached picture correlates with the directions.

1 †Blower motor resistor electrical connector (part of 19D887)
2 W701696 Blower motor resistor screw (2 required)
3 18591 Blower motor resistor
Removal and Installation

Lower the glove compartment.
Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
Remove the 2 blower motor resistor screws.
To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
Remove the blower motor resistor.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
